2025 Beginner Fencing Summer Camps (Ages 7-12)
Beginner Fencing Camp
Has your child ever pretended a stick was a sword? Do they love movies such as Princess Bride, Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars, or shows such as Wednesday? Do they have interest in fantastical worlds through books or Dungeons and Dragons? If any of those match your child's interest, we would love to teach them the Olympic sport of fencing to live out swordfighting in a safe, fun environment!
Join us for an exciting and unique week of summer camp learning how to fence at our St. Louis fencing club. In our expertly instructed fencing camp, your child will learn all the techniques, tactics, and tricks to take them from complete beginner to a confident fencer. We will learn new skills through games, drills, and bouting.
No experience necessary and equipment provided!
Camp Information
Ages: 7-12 years old
Location: 7527 Ravensridge Dr, St. Louis, MO 63119
Earliest Drop-off time: 8:45 am
Camp: 9:00 am-12:00 pm
Latest Pick-up time: 12:15 pm
What to bring: A snack for midmorning break, a water bottle
What to wear: Athletic shoes - no sandals or crocs or slippers as we will be moving around! Athletic attire - no jeans, please. Leggings, pants, or athletic shorts with a T-shirt should be fine.
Coaches: Annamaria Lu (head coach), Jonathon Hammond (youth assistant coach). Both coaches are background checked and SafeSport certified through USA Fencing.
The weeks offered are:
June 9-13
June 23-27
July 14-18
July 21-25
Camps are half-day camps running from 9:00 am-12:00 pm.
Once purchased, a coach will reach out with more information.
